Our Approach
The evaluation process at Great Oak starts with a cognitive assessment to determine the child’s full-scale IQ and other cognitive abilities such as verbal comprehension, processing speed, working memory, fluid reasoning, and visual spatial reasoning. Following the cognitive assessment, a norm-referenced achievement test is administered to assess academic achievements and identify or rule out learning disabilities. Further specialized assessments may be conducted if needed in specific areas.
